It's been about a month since the last update, so I wanted to share some news on where everything is at!
This morning I opened the pledge manager (called BackerKit) where you'll be able to do a few things:
I only did a smoke test to 5% of backers to make sure it's working smoothly this morning, but the rest will go out soon. You need to complete he pledge manager in order to receive your rewards so please keep an eye on your inbox and check your spam folders if you haven't received a link by next week.
I have confirmed dates for Seattle and LA!
If you pledged for a level that includes a ticket to either show you will eventually receive an email from me or Atlas Obscura with details. It's not too late to upgrade your pledge to get one of those tickets which also comes bundled with the record and various items, at a discount.
Now that the pledge manager is live, folks who missed out on the Kickstarter campaign while it was live can also place preorders for the record and some of the other items offered in the Kickstarter. Please share with anyone you know who may wish to get in on it! The preorder store can also be accessed via the main Kickstarter page.

Hey All,
It's been about a month since the last update, so I wanted to give a quick status report on where things are at:
If you missed the last update, you can read up on the prep-press process there.
Third Man should received the test metal last week, and sent out test pressings yesterday. Two test pressings were sent to Neurot Recrodings, and three test pressings were sent directly to me. We'll each give them all a listen to check for quality and consistency, and ensure there are no issues.
After a few rejected proofs due to very minor issues with color rendering, the gatefold record sleeve proofs are being approved this week.
In very exciting news, after reviewing options and quotes for the record insert I decided to custom-print my own insert with Monolith (the same shop who made the art prints) and send that over to Third Man Pressing for insertion. The new insert will be printed in silver metallic ink on black stock. It's going to look incredible!
I still don't have confirmed dates yet, but we're getting very close. I have been corresponding weekly with Atlas Obscura and we've been working with venues in each of the four cities to find the best location for the spring performances.

Hey All,
I know it's been pretty quiet on this project since the campaign wrapped, so I wanted to give a quick update before the end of year!
The lacquers for the record are being cut and sent to the platers! The first step in the pressing process is lacquer mastering. Third Man Mastering’s experienced engineers, located on site here in Detroit, take the mixed and mastered source audio and using a Neumann VMS-70 cutting lathe, cut the grooves of the record into the surface of an aluminium disc coated in a soft lacquer at either 33 ⅓ rpm or 45 rpm. This is the crucial first step in the production process, determining the overall sound of the finished record.
Once lacquers for each side of the records have been cut they’ll be sent off to TMP’s trusted electroplating partner Nipro Optics, for processing where they will be sprayed with liquid silver and then nickel plated to form the stampers used to press the records. Once the lacquers are processed a set of test stampers will then be sent to TMP to run test pressings prior to production. Third Man should have test metal in mid-to-late January.
In the meantime, I have finalized the print files for the gatefold record sleeve and record insert. Those were sent over this week and will now enter a prepress review with the printer.
The art print and meditation cards shipped from Monolith Press to David just after Thanksgiving!
David has signed and numbered all the art prints and will be shipping them to me for my signature after the holidays. In the meantime, he will also letter-pressing the back of each meditation card by hand with the text and designs shown on the campaign page.
